South Dade Out-of-School Collaborative
WeCare of South Dade Inc. through the South Dade Out-of-School Collaborative, a partnership of local agencies, provides afterschool programming to 90 children during the school year and 195 for summer camp. 15-percent of children serve have learning, speech and/or behavioral disabilities. The partners - enFamilia, Little Kingdom and Tiny Kingdom - provide services to children ages 5 to 13 who attend elementary school. These students are predominantly low-income, at-risk youth who reside or attend school in Homestead and Florida City. The programs offer literacy, homework support, physical fitness, family involvement, art & cultural enrichment activities, social skills development and nutrition education.
