Volunteers of America of Florida, Grant Per Diem, Transitional Housing Program for veterans allows homeless Veterans to receive supportive services (to include behavioral health and job training, education and employment) and housing for up to 2 years. During those two years Veterans are provided the tools to become independent.
Permanent Supportive Housing for Families and Individuals
The Permanent Supportive Housing program allows families and individuals with severe and persistent mental illness to receive housing and supportive service for as long as needed. Service include behavioral health, housing and job training, education and employment.
Homeless Veteran Reintegration Program (HVRP)
HVRP Program is one that provide any Veterans in need and in the Miami-Dade area to receive job services. Several staff in Miami are strictly designated to finding jobs for Veterans. This program is open to Veterans within the Transitional Housing Program as well as the general public.
Drop In Center
The Drop In Center is a community center that provides any community members in need a safe and fun place to spend their day. There are education and health seminars in the center to ensure the community members are getting what they need.
This center is also a great vector to introduce in need community members to the other services Volunteers of America of Florida, Miami, provides. The Drop In Center and Miami offices are co-located.
Multi-Service Center provides a safe place for community members and our program participants to come, study, apply for jobs and more. There is a free computer lab open to all. The Center includes: resume writing classes, Basic Computer Classes as well as Financial Classes in both English and Spanish.
The adjunct library is used for classes, meetings and studying as well. This is a safe place that people can receive services or once again simply start to explore what Volunteers of America of Florida has to offer.
