Venezuela Awareness aims to educate people about their fundamental human rights. We intend to spread knowledge about the legal mechanisms available for the protection of human rights and if they are violated, to have enough information through our Internet site, informal lectures, guidance, humanitarian and social events to acquire enough knowledge so people could have resources to defend those rights.

Venezuelans fleeing the deteriorating economic and security crisis at home, are facing a struggle to rebuild their lives abroad. Last year, around 30-thousand petitioned for asylum in the US, nearly a 90 percent increase from 2016. Steve Mort reports from Miami, where community groups are helping Venezuelan migrants find their feet.

Raices program continuously helps vulnerable immigrants by providing them with guidance, immediate relief with the resources needed to live productive lives.
Through donations, Raices program assists the underprivileged to have access to: furniture, house utensils, and favorable living conditions.
Route to Human Rights.
According to the Inter-American System of Justice, human rights violations cases from Venezuela have increased from 1998 to the date 18 times. We will ensure that a variety of educational activities are designed to familiarize potentially victims of human rights violations with available resources to protect their rights and facilitate the access to those resources. These educational resources may include, but are not limited to, the design and development of brochures, posters, media campaigns, meetings, workshops and conferences.

Through education, our advice will provide a kit for the newly arrived to be able to find the basic informatio prepared by us where three basic points are expained on each pamphlet; basic iformation for the newly arrived immigrant, information about the political asylum process, information about non-immigrant visas
