StarBot Academy
1/5
StarBot Academy is comprised of 120 middle school students who are committed to working every Saturday with Breakthrough/StarBot and immersing themselves in 6 different disciplines of Engineering in an exciting and intense hands-on program. Students come from all over Miami-Dade County and work in teams to accomplish challenging Engineering projects from designing Civil Engineering environments across the globe, to Beta Testing a NASA inspired interactive program to be used in the new Frost Museum of Science. The students are also a part of a global Climate Change program as part of a research project form UMass Lowell and MIT. The students will also be designing and creating objects using 3D Printers, Arduinos and the latest technologies in engineering and science.
STEM in the Arts
2/5
StarBot is partnered with Door To The Arts, another not-for-profit, bringing Engineering and Robotics in an after school enhancement program to students in 15 schools. The students range in age from Pre-K 4 through 8th grade. They are actively engaged in learning everything from simple machines and the Engineering Process to designing robots that are programmed to perform different functions. The students are developing problem solving skills, and using their imaginations and knowledge they create exciting projects every week.
305 Consortium
3/5
The 305 Consortium is a very dynamic group developed by the founders of StarBot. Every month StarBot hosts the 305 Consortium, a group of dedicated community leaders, teachers, school administrators, parents, and students who are dedicated to bringing STEM related events to the South Florida community. Events ranging from hosting all different kinds of robotics competitions, to finding internships for students, to expanding the Symbiosis Foundation ERGO Project (using the latest technology to capture Cosmic Ray showers and events), the 305 Consortium represents all students in South Florida from public schools, private schools, charter schools, and home schools. The members of the 305 support each other through volunteerism and one on one counseling for the success of all different programs. The 305 builds bridges with the many diverse communities here in our wonderful South Florida!
BattleBots Television Show

The BattleBots television show aired on ABC this summer with high ratings! StarBot produced the only all girls team that competed on television summer 2015. Out of 24 teams on television, 7 were comprised of former StarBot students! The winner was a former student. We currently are working with more students for local, regional and national robotics competitions.
