To enhance and enrich the learning experience and academic environment of the students of North Beach Elementary. We are committed to raising funds to renovate and redesign our media center. The goal of this project is transform it into a “21st Century Media Center”.
Media Center - Embracing technology will change everything. Our new space will emphasize the integration of technology into student work as well as support the flexibility to accommodate large group instruction, small group gathering, and individual work.
The garden is a treasure trove of local, organic produce, and it serves as an outdoor classroom. It features an edible garden that grows greens, fruits, vegetables, and flowers as well as a food forest, which is an ecosystem home to many fruit trees and bushes as well as butterfly nectar and host plants. The garden is a green oasis, and it's open to the NBE community.

After-school Enrichment Programs
The NBE PTA Enrichments Program is offered after school by the North Beach Elementary PTA and consists of after-school instructor-led courses in arts, sports, culture and other FUN, mind- and talent-expanding opportunities!
100% of net proceeds are put back into NBE to benefit students and teachers through additional materials.
Florida PTA Reflections
The National PTA Reflections program is PTA's cornerstone arts program. It was developed in 1969 by Colorado's PTA President Mary Lou Anderson to encourage students to explore their talents and express themselves. Since then, the Reflections program has inspired millions of students to reflect on a specific theme and create original artwork. Each year, students in Pre-K through grade 12 are recognized for bringing the theme to life through dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.
Students submit their artwork to local PTAs for initial judging. In Florida, local winning entries then advance to the Council level before advancing to the state level. Top entries from the Florida PTA Reflections contest advance to National PTA for the final round of judging. Florida PTA awards are announced each March and National PTA awards are announced each May.
Odyssey of the Mind
Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They must then work collaboratively to come up with an 8-minute performance that solves the problem presented, all the while covering specific judging criteria.
The North Beach Elementary Odyssey group faced the problem “Aesop Gone Viral”. Their creativity, cleverness and delivery were top notch, earning them a spot to complete at the State Championships taking place in Orlando on April 9th. Their success is a testament to the students’ unwavering commitment to excellence, with massive time commitments not only after school, but also on weekends. The students, coaches and parents involved are all a shining example of why North Beach Elementary continues to excel year in and year out.
Kindness Matters Program
Kindness Program - Participants in the program are educated by speakers from various philanthropic organizations within their community and are given the opportunity to participate in hands-on, age appropriate activities that teach them the importance of being kind to themselves and to others.
