The goal of this ensemble is to teach pitch matching, breathing techniques, enunciation, proper use of head and chest tones, posture two and three-part harmony and other key aspects of choral singing.
The goal of this ensemble is to teach students to learn to read music for their instrument, play multi-part arrangements, and employ proper bowing, fingering, and pizzicato technique.
This ensemble concentrates on playing complex polyrhythms. Ensemble include congos, bongos, guiros, cowbell, wood block, shakers, timables, and the marimba. For performances we also include students on bass and keyboard, and student vocalists are used in specific performances.
The students learn to read treble and bass cleft music as well as fingering techniques and other music theory concepts.
Recorder and Bells
The Bell Ensemble incorporates melody bells, resonating bells, and the marimba.
The Recorder Ensemble teaches students the soprano, alto, tenor, and bass recorders.
