MorningStar Renewal Center is a spiritual renewal, faith formation and personal and social justice action center. The primary mission is to serve the people of South Florida with engaging programs and retreats that enliven, enhance, and empower people of all faith traditions as they seek to renew and grow their spiritual resources. MorningStar provides facilities and programs that to over 10,000 persons each year with emphasis given to programs for personal renewal, leadership development, youth and family support and strengthening, 12-Step Recovery programs, contemplative prayer training, exploration of new and renewed modalities for spiritual growth and development. MorningStar Renewal Center is a place where doors and hearts are open to all people who seek and experience a spiritual awakening and desire to discern their own response to that in their lives.

MorningStar is a great place to volunteer! Our volunteers help organized food to go to food shelters, serve meals to those attending programs and retreats, serve senior citizens, families, youth, and specialty groups like those in recovery or persons who are homeless.

Student Peer Ministry Leadership Training

Teens from South Florida are trained in a Servant-Leadership model of leadership in an effort to increase volunteerism, "giving back" to the community, empowerment of youth through service to the community. Training includes seminars and retreats throughout the year and a Summer Camp Intensive Training. Over 150 high school students have graduated from this high energy and service oriented program.
Food Distribution Network

Program in which volunteers coordinate pick up and drop off of food from local restaurants that would be disposed of and through networking among local food backs and homeless shelters the food is distributed. MorningStar is the clearing house for this program that is volunteer operated.
Art and Spirituality

A variety of workshops, seminars, and retreats that seek to connect various art forms: painting, iconography, poetry, dance, drama, photography, music to one's spirituality. Local artists are able to show and share their art forms and audiences are able to experience the peace and joy that the creative arts evoke.

Bereavement Training / Grief Support

A two day workshop led by a team of professionals in grief and group process for the start up of grief support groups in the local faith community. The workshop is for those who, either for themselves or for others, are interested in understanding the grief journey, the importance and integration of faith in the grieving process, and in learning how to better accompany the bereaved.
