MDPL will host the 40th Annual Art Deco Weekend (ADW) on January 13-15,2017. A community event presented by the Miami Design Preservation League, celebrating preservation, history, education, advocacy, architecture, art, culture and entertainment.

MDPL manages the Art Deco Welcome Center, which holds MDPL's Art Deco Welcome Center, the Art Deco Museum and the Official Art Deco Gift Shop.

MDPL is currently organizing volunteers to undertake a complete re-survey of all the structures within the Art Deco District. The results have been digitalized and is available online and in the Art Deco Museum.

Art Deco Museum

MDPL opened the Art Deco Museum in October of 2014. The Museum allows tourists and locals to better understand the architectural heritage and community culture of Miami Beach. MDPL designed the museum to be educational and informational, while reflecting the fun and glamour of Miami Beach.

Visual Memoirs

MDPL in partnership with Close-Up Productions recorded the memoirs of the City of Miami Beach through the stories of people who have been a part its history. Their stories have been recorded using professional audio and visual equipment. These interviews have been combined and edited to create a museum installation. Sharing the City's heritage with all who care to learn about its past only further expands the appreciation of our unique beach community.
