Miami Dade College (MDC) Foundation raises awareness and financial resources for the College to maintain open-door access to anyone who wants an education, and to provide innovative and multicultural academic and cultural programs; all of which contribute to the vitality of our community.
Miami Dade College (MDC) is the nation's largest, campus-based undergraduate institution. MDC's greatest need is scholarships for students. MDC awards nine baccalaureate degrees along with associates degrees and certificates. About 85% of MDC graduates with associates degrees and vocational credit certificates either go on to a four-year degree program, or enter the job market within a year of graduation. College-wide, 67% of students are noted as low income with 6% below the poverty line. MDC has established several key programs to draw more students and prepare them for the ever-evolving workforce. These programs include The Idea Center, our acclaimed entrepreneurship and innovation hub, and MAGIC, the Miami Animation & Gaming International Complex, built in partnership with Pixar, the only learning facility in Florida that functions like a professional animation and game design studio. MDC students are well-prepared and well-placed to impact, enhance and expand the workforce.
