The mission of the Miami Beach Botanical Garden is to provide free public access to an attractive botanical garden, create environmental education programs for children and adults, preserve green space, and promote green living. We serve as a venue for visual and performing arts, and act as a cultural tourist destination.
The Garden gates open to reveal a natural oasis filled with native botanicals, rare specimens of palms and a habitat for birds and butterflies. Welcoming the community to awaken all their senses with sights and scents of nature, music and art for all ages throughout the year.

Art in the Park with Marie
Marie Kolbert is a licensed pre-school teacher in her home country of Sweden, where she has been involved in arts her whole life. After playing soccer for the National Team in Sweden, she arrived in the U.S. on a soccer scholarship at Lynn University in Boca Raton in 1996. There she received her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Design. In 2000, she moved to Miami Beach where she still resides.
Marie has been hosting her Art in the Park program at public parks around the city, and now the Miami Beach Botanical Garden welcomes Marie on the last Sunday of every month (unless a date change is indicated in the online calendar).
Art plays an important role in children's lives, and this free program will give your children a chance for their creativity to soar! Toddlers up to eight year olds will enjoy creating something new each month out in the lawn under the shade of the Banyan tree. Supplies included, just bring your imagination!
