Creating Workforce Opportunities with STEM Initiatives.
Community Development Nonprofit, Manifezt Foundation provides Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) and Personal Development education to Youth, Military Veterans, & Recently Incarcerated individuals in under-served communities; and helps minority students find internships and opportunities in STEM careers through its corporate partners.
Connecting forward-thinking innovators of all backgrounds with local community resources that help foster prosperity and innovation, The Manifezt Foundation is dedicated to helping individuals succeed through after-school and evening educational workshops.
Implementing coding, robotics, and life sciences in under-served communities, Manifezt Foundation's Youth Stem Program focuses providing practical Stem Education workshop to participants ages 8-18.
The above photo depicts the grand opening of our new 'Science in The City: Space Cadet' workshop location at the Miami Lakes Library, where we dissected a pig and showed the kids its organs since they are nearly identical to human organs. We then explained how space travel impacts the human body and used the pig's organs to help them visualize the effects.
Here you see our STEM Saturday workshop location where we are dissecting a boar heart to explain how the heart works while helping the kids learn the different parts of the organ.
Above you see one of our program participants trying out the elephant toothpaste experiment after witnessing our volunteer perform it. Here we help the kids visualize how chemical reactions can work, while explaining the difference between exothermic and endothermic reactions.
Here we are the Joe Celestin Center teaching the youth how to code. The knowledge we are providing gives them the foundation needed to become a web developer and create their own apps.
In the above image, we show the kids how ice cream is made. Through this experiment, we teach them the difference between liquids and solids while exemplifying an endothermic reaction and gratifying their efforts with a tasty reward at the end.
Science in the City
The global market has experienced a gradual but momentous shift towards careers in technology and science. This evolution is evident in major tech hubs like San Francisco, Seattle, and Austin, but younger metropolitan areas, like greater Miami, are also experiencing widespread transformation from the tech wave. Our mission is to increase access to quality STEM education for students of all socioeconomic backgrounds.
Science in the City, our unique, extracurricular youth program, provides rigorous and career-based STEM education to students throughout Miami-Dade and Broward County. Science in the City workshops bring K-8 students of all backgrounds together to immerse them in STEM activities built around college – and career-level standards, focusing on professional pathways and real-world scenarios that are explored by STEM professionals.
Youth STEM Program
Extensive hands-on stem education program for children 8-18 infused with experiments tailored to spark their interest in STEM, so we can transition into showing them the potential careers in those areas.
Our project-based workshops are designed to show children the fun side of science and to captivate their interest in rewarding STEM careers. In this workshop, we show children the various careers available in different STEM subjects to help them hone in on their interests. Program tracks include: life sciences, robotics & engineering and coding & software development.
