Our MACtown Intermediate Care Facility (ICF)
Intermediate Care Facility
In 1973, MACtown opened the doors of its Intermediate Care Facility (ICF). This residential facility, houses 56 Developmentally and Intellectually Disabled adults, where they are taught daily living and social skills necessary for coping in society. All of our residents work in the community or attend Adult Day Training Programs (ADT).
ADT - Adult Day Training
Adult Day Training Program is a daily program that provides each individual with goals based on Person Centered Planning. The program provides both functional academic and vocational training. In 1993, MACtown opened a second Adult Day Training Program which provides a blend of recreational and leisure programming with work opportunities for an additional 100 + developmentally and intellectually disabled people.
Group Homes offer residential services to individuals in a small family-like atmosphere. This environment is conducive to learning, building healthy and long-lasting relationships, and working and living together in harmony. We have 10 group homes and they are located in Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties.
Behave Analysis and Behavior Assistant services are offered in our ICF, Group Homes, Adult Day Training Centers, as well as in the community. Our goal is to minimize maladaptive behavior while teaching new more appropriate behavior to assist the people we serve in achieving the highest level of independence
Supported Independent Living and Supported Employment
The SIL program provides services to individuals that live and work independently in the community. They are assisted with their daily living skills such as money management, housekeeping and transportation needs. In our SE program helps the individual to overcome barriers in the community that prevent them from being gainfully employed.
