Get up and boogie this December! A magical march returns to the streets of downtown Coral Gables, as the 70th Annual Junior Orange Bowl Parade kicks off this holiday season on Sunday, Dec. 2. The Host City of the Junior Orange Bowl, Coral Gables, will come alive as marching bands, floats, and community groups stride along Miracle Mile. This annual ritual is confident to delight more than seven thousand spectators in celebration of active youth and community. ͞A Boogie Wonderland͟ Parade will commemorate Junior Orange Bowl’s seven decades of impact on the community, while paying homage to the 1970’s.
Junior Orange Bowl Cross Country
The 57th Junior Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship is one of the most compelling and prestigious junior tennis tournaments in the world! This globally recognized match brings together over 1,300 of the top ranked male and female 12-and-under and 14-and-under junior players representing 76 countries! The tournament boasts an impressive alumni list of current pros including; Caroline Wozniacki, Genie Bouchard, Maria Sharapova, Alexander Zverev, Roger Federer, Juan Martin del Potro, Kei Nishikori, Andy Murray,John Isner, 2018 Miami Open Championand 2016 Honorary Chair of the Junior Orange Bowl Tennis Championship, andSloane Stephens, 2018 Miami Open Champion. Over the past 57 years, tennis legends such as Chris Evert, Jimmy Connors, Mary Joe Fernandez, Monica Seles, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf have participated.
Junior Orange Bowl Basketball
Slam dunk as the Junior Orange Bowl hosts its 30th Annual Basketball Classic! The Basketball Classic is comprised of a series of events throughout the year; the National Varsity Classic, the JV Classic, the Middle School Classic, and other community events. This year-round event is among our International competitions, having hosted by Boys and Girls teams from Gimnazja Bezigrad School in Slovenia!
Junior Orange Bowl Robotics
Partnered with Bots for All, the Junior Orange Bowl Robotics competition, officially sanctioned by Vex, orchestrate teams of young South Florida engineers, grades 6-12, with the opportunity to mastermind their skill and creativity for innovation in the Vex and Vex IQ arenas. The winning teams will not only take home the trophies for their category, but will also qualify to compete in the National Vex Competition in 2019.
Junior Orange Bowl Photography
The Junior Orange Bowl Photography Competition invites Middle School and High School students from across South Florida to display their detailed creativity and submit photos in diversified categories. The competition is designed for students to showcase and discover their passion through the arts and provides a great exposure opportunity to its youth. Students are encouraged to have an imaginative leap to think outside the box and captivate the judges with colorful, detailed, and iconic photographs.
