Adult and Family Services
JCS' services assists people of all incomes in ways that strengthen individuals, marriages, relationships and families, contributing to a healthier community. Services include mental health counseling, job assistance, support for survivors of domestic abuse and the holocaust, among other services that maintain or improve self sufficiency and develop solutions that promote independent living and well-being.
Children & Youth Services
JCS specializes in compassionate services that address the unique needs of children, adolescents and young adults. From mental health counseling and case management to violence prevention and LGBT in-school support, JCS has programs to assist youth in any situation or circumstance. We also provide education and training to youth at-risk of being homeless. With a strong reputation for providing quality services and programs, JCS focuses on serving all communities regardless of race, religion, ethnic origin, sexual orientation or language. Specialized therapy services are also available to victims of trauma including child, adolescent, and adult survivors of sexual abuse and sexual assault. In keeping with our efforts to deliver help in neighborhood settings, many programs are offered at JCS offices, area schools, synagogues and community centers.
Senior Services and In-Home Care
Those over 60 are urged to take advantage of JCS' in-depth experience and expertise. Our number one priority is keeping seniors active, healthy and living in their own homes for as long as it is safe and appropriate from locations throughout Miami-Dade County. JCS helps clients maintain their dignity and independence with diverse initiatives that include home care, personal emergency response systems, home-delivered meals, 5 congregate meal sites, care management, and transportation services. Also have specialized services for Holocaust Survivors and LGBT seniors.
Through its Helpline Services, JCS is a leading provider of telephone crisis intervention and referral services throughout Miami Dade County. More than 136,000 individuals receive services yearly by accessing confidential, free, telephone counseling, crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and information and referral services. Helpline Services is certified by the American Association of Suicidology and the Alliance of Information and Referral Services, and is licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families. In addition to its many specialty helplines, JCS also serves as The Children’s Trust 2-1-1 Helpline providing telephone counseling, crisis intervention, and information and referral services 24 hours a day, seven days a week in English, Spanish and Creole.
