Some of the lectures and workshops H3 has offered include: BodyTalk, Acupuncture & Chinese Herbs, Move Wise, Hypnosis, Chi Gong, Psychology, Nutrition, Sex after Breast Cancer, Thai Cooking Class, Naturopathic Medicine, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT Tapping), and Ayurveda.
We offer recommendations and discounts for local, alternative medical practitioners through the H3 Annual Membership Program.
Still in its nascent phase, The H3 Pink Ribbon Support Line is a call-in breast cancer support program. Our volunteer call takers (all breast cancer survivors themselves), have years of personal experience to help with the often confusing, frustrating, and scary choices involved in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. Our aim is to help patients/survivors decipher all the unfamiliar terminology heaped upon the newly diagnosed and help explain some of their options. H3 will not make any decisions on a patient’s behalf or provide any medical advice. Our only goal is to offer personalized peer support to any and all breast cancer patients/survivors in need, regardless of gender, age, race or ethnicity.
H3 First Annual Open Panel Discussion about Cancer Event:
As we are getting bombarded daily with cancer diagnoses, H3 facilitated the first open panel discussion about cancer among doctors, healers, cancer patients and survivors, together with the community. The discussion involved an in depth look at what is currently happening in the area of cancer, and how we can make a difference if we all work together.
The H3 open discussion panelists focused on the following questions:
1.) Why is the rate of cancer diagnoses increasing?
2.) Are we doing enough to lower cancer rates, such as H3 raising awareness and educating people on cancer prevention, or is there more that we can do?
3.) Is the conventional medical system failing in the prevention/treatment of cancer?
Is the natural/alternative medicine field succeeding in the prevention/treatment of
How can these two medical systems work together to be the most effective in the fight
H3’s Founder and Director Janinha Piazzetta moderated the discussion panel.
H3 Panelists: Janet Galipo, AP DOM, ADV, CBI, NilzaKallos, MD, Steven Roth, DMD, Niraj Mehta, MD, Charlotte Libov, MS, and Dashi Chu Kocica, AP.
H3 Second Annual Panel Discussion about Cancer Event:
Our last open discussion provided powerful insights and conclusions about the possibilities of better treatments, prevention, and hope towards the cure. Now it is time for us to put into practice the discussion results and to further explore how we can make a difference in the cancer field. It is clear from the results of the last discussion that the emphasis needs to be on personal responsibility: “It begins with me”.
The H3 Open Discussion panelists focused on the following questions:
1. Prevention: Although we cannot always control what happens to our health, we have a personal responsibility to control risk factors of which we were previously unaware. Therefore, what can an individual do to be conscious about their health choices, lifestyle, and how self-healing begins within each of us?
2. Diagnosis/treatment: What are some of the innovative and cutting-edge treatments that are being considered for cancer treatment, such as immune therapies and vaccines? Is chemotherapy obsolete?
3. Medical System: What are the problems with the current medical system/doctor education/hospital environment/insurance and how can an individual better navigate through these systems and advocate for the best care possible?
H3’s Founder and Director Janinha Piazzetta moderated the discussion panel. Each participant will address the 3 questions above from their unique perspective. The audience will have an opportunity to participate with questions towards the end.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT Tapping) Lecture by Susan Somerset-Webb. Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT Tapping) is a very efficient way to address the emotions that hinder recovery. Once you become proficient with EFT, it’s easier to deal with the cancer itself without being wrapped up in emotional aspects. Susan Somerset Webb understands this situation very well.
Through her own illness, Susan Somerset-Webb became dedicated to helping others heal their lives with the powerful Energy Psychology techniques that saved hers, including Psych K, EFT, Matrix Energetics and TAT.
TAP IT! The EFT Playbook is the product of her years of experience with EFT and thousands of client hours. Susan explained, “I wrote TAP IT! So others don’t have to struggle. Please don’t wait until your life is out of control to use this powerful technique. Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.”
The Azambuja Method of Postural Re-Education releases pain and muscle tension through postural re-education and by using body awareness, stretching, breath work and manipulation. The dynamic relationship between the body and mind is well documented. If the body is overly tense, in chronic pain and/or physically misaligned, it is virtually impossible for the mind to achieve a state of relaxation. Muscular relaxation is the key to mental relaxation, balance and well-being. Felipe Azambuja is a licensed Massage Therapist and has been in private practice for over 30 years. He currently teaches postural re-education classes at The Wellness Community, a nationwide, not-for-profit organization providing free services and support for cancer patients, their families and caregivers.
H3 Third Annual Open Panel Discussion about Cancer
H3 Third Open Discussion about Cancer
Our last two open discussions provided powerful insights and ideas about the possibilities of better treatments, prevention, and the ultimate goal of finding a cure. The emphasis was on how individuals could improve their own health choices by having personal responsibility – “it begins with me”. We are here today to further explore new possibilities for improved treatments and living a better life as a cancer survivor – by working together!
The H3 Third Open Discussion panelists will focus on the following questions:
1) Why has the rate of cancer diagnosis remained relatively unchanged, even with all the “healthy” lifestyle changes people have made? Are we really making any progress with prevention?
2) Is it possible for conventional doctors and alternative practitioners to work together to provide the best combination of treatments for their patients? Are hospital doctors too bound by the medical system and insurance companies to step outside their traditional roles?
3) Realistically, how do you see the future of cancer? Is there hope? Are we making a difference? What more can we do?
H3’s Founder and Director Janinha Piazzetta is moderating the discussion panel. Each participant will address the 3 questions above from their unique perspective.

H3 Networking Happy Hour event
H3 Networking Happy Hour is a bimonthly community event. The location changes according to the availability of the venues. This event is an opportunity to empower, promote, develop, and connect ALL survivors with new friends, alternative practitioners, conventional doctors, business professionals and the community as a whole.
The goal of this event is to empower the survivors by connecting with the community, healers, and business professionals as well as to develop their potential and help them succeed and heal. Janinha Piazzetta, the founder and executive director of H3 points out that, “it is a challenge for survivors to get back to society and work after cancer treatment because the body and the mind go through so much transformation and most of the time these two components are not connected, especially for the ones who have to deal with serious side effects.” She also mentions that survivorship is not only about cancer, but any other serious, life-changing illness as well. H3 is about helping anyone who needs that extra bit of support!
