Coral Gables Children's Dental Clinic
Many of our patients have never visited a dentist. The majority of these children require extensive fillings, root canals, and crowns. An initial visit includes cleaning, X-rays, and an evaluation for long-term treatment. A child comes to this clinic until all necessary dental work is completed, once done, our dentists and hygienists continue patient care by providing the ongoing services of cleaning and fluoride treatments, along with teaching proper brushing, flossing, and oral hygiene. In 2015, thanks to the generosity of our donors, our dental staff was able to provide 2509 dental procedures for 607 patients, who so desperately needed these services. Funds are continuously being expended, not only to provide dental services to children, but also to upgrade and modernize our facilities and equipment. The Dental Clinic is housed in the historic, former Coral Gables Library at 1009 East Ponce De Leon Boulevard. This program serves any child in need, whose families qualify, throughout the Miami-Dade County area and now serves Broward County children, as well.
