Friendship Circle of Miami is a community-based 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to offering friendship and cultivating life skills for individuals with special needs, providing respite to their families, and empowering teenage volunteers through mentorships. Our out-of-school time programming runs after-school, on holidays, Sunday, and winter- and summer- break – filling a crucial gap when schools are closed. Social and educational activities include art, music, cooking, yoga, equestrian, sports, and field trips. Life Skills around Town fills the gap between classroom learning and real word experiences by teaching life skills to students through experiences at places such as the library, metro, supermarket, bank, and post-office. We also offer an Adult Program which infuses social, cultural and recreational experiences into the lives of adults living with disabilities throughout Miami-Dade.
