Fresh Art International Audio Podcast
Launched in 2011, Fresh Art International is an audio podcast that features conversations about art, film and architecture. We work at the intersection of digital media, sound art and social practice to share the voices of established and emerging creatives at the center and fringe of art and culture scenes across South Florida, six continents and the Caribbean Archipelago. We infuse our field recordings and interviews with unique sound experiences. You can listen and subscribe to Fresh Art International on any of these platforms: FreshArtInternational.com, Apple Podcasts, SoundCloud, Stitcher, Android, Google Music Play, ACast, RadioPublic, Public Radio Exchange, YouTube, Podbean and TuneIn. You’ll find more than 200 episodes in our online archive—anywhere you go for podcasts.
Fresh Art International Radio Show
Since October 2016, our Fresh Art International radio show airs every Wednesday, from 10 to 11am EST on Jolt Radio (joltradio.org), an independent internet station based in Miami. Like the Fresh Art International podcast, our live streaming radio program explores contemporary art and culture in South Florida and beyond. We spark conversations around biennial exhibitions, art fairs, public art, sound art, Black art, collecting, film, architecture, the environment, art activism and more. In 2018, our new remote broadcasting kit enabled us to stream direct from Key West, Senegal, the Dominican Republic and Trinidad. Listen live or on demand; you’ll find all our radio programs in the Fresh Art International podcast archive.
Fresh Art International Smart Guide
Fresh Art International’s Smart Guide is a free, downloadable publication that explores critical issues and ideas in contemporary art. Sharing the diverse perspectives that we’ve documented in our seven year-old podcast, this educational resource offers a range of e-learning opportunities. Designed for art schools, secondary and college level art and art history courses, practicing artists and researchers, each guide features an overview, relevant histories and biographies, illustrated transcriptions, 100+ hyperlinks, suggested readings, and class discussion questions. Our first three editions trace these themes: International Art Biennials in North America, Art with a Sense of Place, and Spatial Interventions. To download your free smart guide, visit FreshArtInternational.com and click on the bright blue box that reads: Get Fresh Art International Smart Guide.
