We are a diverse United Methodist Church located in downtown Miami. At First Church Miami, people are our passion and love is our mission! The core of our mission is creating a space for all people to experience the transformative love of God. As a community of faith, we are constantly seeking new ways in which to provide spiritual growth and communal connections for the people of Miami.
For decades now, we have been deeply committed to serving the continuously and chronically homeless population of Miami. Every week, we serve the homeless by providing clean showers, hygiene kits, hot coffee, fresh food, clothing, shoes, and other necessities.
This program seeks to restore and instill dignity to every person we encounter! We believe all people are children of God and we are here to serve those most vulnerable on the streets of Miami. We invite you to join us in this incredible work of service and transformation!

Breakfast Club Homeless Ministry
For nearly thirty five years, FUMC has served the homeless population of Miami. Every Sunday, we provide clean showers, hygiene kits, hot coffee, and fresh food to our homeless brothers and sisters downtown. It is a time to nourish the body and soul. Meals are prepared by various groups throughout Miami during the week before. This is an opportunity for any individual, family, or workplace to give back and make a difference in people's lives. A worship service for the homeless is also prepared on Sunday mornings by a rotation of leaders including a time of prayer. This is one of the central components of our community life and essential to who we are as a church.
For years, volunteers from both our church and the community, including those of other faiths, have come to provide nourishment to those most in need. During the holidays we offer a special meal and gifts. In the winter, blankets are provided to each person. The relationships that have been built during these years have been lasting and many persons who receive from the ministry now come and assist with meal preparation and distribution.
