The mission of the Coconut Grove Crisis Food Pantry, Inc. is to provide food weekly for those in need, by developing and strengthening ties through the active participation of churches, synagogues and civic organizations, utilizing volunteers
• Distribute food for Thanksgiving meals and to provide and serve a hot Christmas meal to the community
• Distribute other items which may be occasionally donated
• Provide non-USDA food for the preparation of hot meals for Monday night feedings from April through September.
Coconut Grove Crisis Food Pantry, Inc. provides food for those in our community who need assistance. We distribute canned vegetables, fruit, cereal, grains and meats, along with fresh produce when available. Volunteers organize and distribute groceries weekly. We rely on the generosity of private individuals as well as educational, civic and religious organizations for food donations and monetary support to assure our successful operation. Volunteers are always welcomed, and we encourage all our supporters to visit the Food Pantry and witness how a community working together can make a difference in the lives of others.
