A program of Coconut Grove Cares, The Barnyard is a neighborhood community center, located in the heart of Coconut Grove Village West in Miami, Florida. This videos gives a bit of insight into some of the wonderful activities we provide for the students.

The Barnyard After School and Summer Program
Coconut Grove Cares provides free after school and summer camp programs for children with financial and domestic hardships. It operates the Barnyard--a fun, supervised community center for children ages 5-13. Programs focus on education, literacy, mental health, arts and culture, science exploration, fitness, and parental engagement. The After School and Summer Program components include Academic Enrichment, Cultural Enrichment, Supervised Outdoor Activities, Behavior Management/Conflict Resolution, and Nutrition and Environmental Awareness. The Barnyard contains five open-area classrooms, indoor stage, computer lab and classroom, and ceramic work area with a kiln. Fenced outdoor facilities include a state-of-the-art playground with age-appropriate equipment, outdoor stage, basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts.
