The Youth of Valor Empowerment (Y.O.V.E.), Step It Up, is a Leadership Development/After School Program of the Ladies of Valor Empowerment (L.O.V.E.), a 501 c3, non-profit organization, in Miami Dade County, Haitian American community. The Y.O.V.E mission is to mentor, develop and equip underprivileged high school girls to lead themselves with confidence and integrity to become college bound, career focused as well as to develop their potential to join the next generation of women leaders. Y.O.V.E. is part of a unique community-based movement focused on serving underprivileged teenage girls in the City of North Miami. Y.O.V.E. is the only movement of its kind in the city where community leaders come together to mentor and empower high-risk teenage girls.
The Youth of Valor Empowerment (Y.O.V.E.) presents Obesity prevention in collaboration with our collaborator Johnson & wales University, North Miami Campus. The Culinary Art session presented on Campus, where the girls are placed in the kitchen with Student Chefs to learn how to prepare very healthy meals on a low budget from start to finish, every session.
The Youth of Valor Empowerment (Y.O.V.E) was invited to attend the Florida International University Annual Health Conference, they had an opportunity to listen to different specialists making presentations in the area of health medicine.

The Y.O.V.E. Wellness Initiative is a program of the Ladies of Valor Empowerment (L.O.V.E.) for young girls, the wellness initiative supports and promotes the whole health of the girls, using a philosophy which recognizes that many factors, including physical and mental wellness, contribute to girls' health. Y.O.V.E. provides a positive youth development approach to equipping girls with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and support for maintaining a positive sense of self and for being healthy today and throughout their lives.
The Y.O.V.E. Economic Literacy is a program of the Ladies of Valor Empowerment (L.O.V.E.) for young girls, Y.O.V.E. girls learn how to earn, save, spend, and share money are critical economic concepts essential to the future success of the girls. They gain the knowledge of economic and financial literacy. Prepares them for entering the world of work by helping them examine topics such as attitudes and values about money, career strategies, economic justice and workers' rights, paycheck deductions, responsible use of credit and avoiding predatory lenders, renting vs. buying, and investing
Leadership Development & Group Mentoring
The Y.O.V.E. Leadership Development and Motivation is a program of the Ladies of Valor Empowerment (L.O.V.E.) for young girls, statistics show that children, including teenagers, with positive role models in their lives tend to make better choices. Important to the success of the mentors who provide guidance to the young girls. Mentors share their personal experiences and help guide the Y.O.V.E. girls to a healthy and happy future.

Dress for Empowerment-Image Coaching-Etiquette
The Dress for Empowerment addresses the importance of proper dressing as it relates to the public. The girls learn to appreciate behaviors beyond clothing choices that contribute to a positive self-image including body language, vocal tones and personal habits.
