Children of Inmates, Inc. is committed to interrupting intergenerational incarceration through a research informed multifaceted program model. Children of Inmates provides trauma informed wrap around care coordination and family reunification opportunities for children and families impacted by parental incarceration. Furthermore, Children of Inmates works vigorously to raise community awareness about the impacts of parental incarceration, while concurrently debunking the associated stigma. In all, over the past 10 years, more than 4,500 children have received services by our compassionate, hard-working, and dedicated staff and volunteers.

Summer Bonding Visits are themed "Being American" in which families discover what it means to be an American. Staff work to recreate a 4th of July family barbecue within the facility, inclusive of hamburgers and hotdogs, backyard games and flag folding.
Families participate in civic-engagement activities, including arts and crafts projects within the facility.
Children of Inmates Quarterly Bonding Visits
Children of Inmates, Inc. (COI) coordinates quarterly bonding visits, taking children and caregivers on child-focused bonding visits to correctional institutions throughout the state of Florida. COI Bonding Visits are thematic, including a civic-engagement activities, a family meal and opportunities for bonding between the child and their incarcerated parent. In all, over the past 10 years, more than 6,000 children have attended our Quarterly Bonding Visits to 20 different correctional institutions across Florida.
Wrap Around Case Management
Children of Inmates, Inc. provides wrap around case management services to address the economic and emotional impacts of parental incarceration. Children of Inmates trained social workers provide trauma informed care to mitigate the associated trauma of the loss of a parental figure to incarceration.
