Project Learn After-School & Summer Camps
Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade offers high quality after-school and summer camps at four club locations. Through Project Learn, hundreds of children between the ages of 5-14 years old receive assistance with homework; nurture their creativity through arts & crafts; participate in Reader's Theatre that promotes a love for reading; participate in fun STEM activities; and polish their social skills with help from mentors and role models. Project Learn also offers one-on-one tutoring in Exceptional Student Education (ESE). The program also offers ballet, dance, and intramural sports. The program provides Healthy Snacks as part of the registration. Children attend fun, educational field trips during winter, spring, and summer breaks.
Great Futures for Teens
High School teens benefit from: tutorial and homework assistance, ACT/SAT preparation; sports and fitness, STEM; financial literacy; job training and summer employment. Teens engage in civic responsibility at Biscayne Bay, Florida Keys, community centers and cultural events, and tour universities to plan for the future.
Sports and Fitness
Core to our mission, Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade offers a safe haven for kids so that they are not home alone or on the streets after school or during the summer by offering organized sports leagues. Coaches serve as role models and teach the kids camaraderie, discipline and team work. Through their participation, kids not only become physically fit, but also develop the social skills they need to succeed in school, work and in life. We offer a variety of sports programs: baseball, basketball, cheerleading, football, and soccer.
