Our well-rounded afterschool and summer programs include leadership training, literacy, health and nutrition, physical fitness, and youth empowerment activities. In partnership with faith institutions, schools, colleges and universities as well as other community-based organizations, our comprehensive program boosts student motivation to read, generates more positive attitudes toward learning, and connects the needs of youth and families to community resources.
FAST (Families Alternatives for Suspension and Termination) program is designed as an alternative to outdoor suspension for middle and high school students who have been identified with those behaviors that prevent them from learning in school. For a period of five (5) days, we provide a day treatment program and counseling identifying the causes and effects of the child's behavior in an attempt toward improvement.
For families experiencing the most intense pressures, such as extreme poverty, child abuse, mental illness or substance abuse, isolation from natural helping networks can have a devastating effect. Care Coordination provides resource tools and wraparound services to address family issues and emergencies. Its optimum goal is to build stronger and better communities by strengthening the family holistically through education, prevention and intervention.
We teach organized sports - which include football, cheerleading, baseball, basketball, soccer, and track & field - in a safe environment where kids are mentored as they learn team building and social skills.
