The mission of ASPIRA of Florida is to foster the advancement of underserved youth from high-need communities by empowering them in their pursuit of educational excellence and leadership development that emphasize commitment to the community.
This video depicts the impact that ASPIRA of Florida has had over the past 35 years with Miami-Dade County. ASPIRA of Florida has a community of charter schools in Overtown/Wynwood, North Miami and Homestead that assists students on their academic journey. In addition, ASPIRA offers afterschool programming that provides leadership development through various activities.
This year, ASPIRA Arts DECO will open up its new school facility within the Wynwood/Overtown community. ASPIRA is excited to provide its students with a state-of-the-art facility that will include two media centers, science labs and a police net office. ASPIRA wants it students and staff to feel safe at all times.
ASPIRA LCPA continues to build upon its K-8 center as it is now servicing K through 2nd grade and 6th through 8th grade. Students partake in an assortment of activities, such as celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
This day captures the very essence of the love and kindness that is shared between the school and the community.
This past April at ASPIRA R.A.M., Comcast chose this school as its anchor project in Miami for its national service day in Florida. With over 600 volunteers, students, Comcast employees and administration, this community service event was able to resod R.A.M.'s entire playground area, repaint all hallways and mulch the entire school area. It was a great day for students to see others giving back!
Graduation day is always special for our organization as our ASPIRANTES are moving onto high school and the first grade!
ASPIRA takes pride in successfully preparing our students for the next chapter in their educational trajectory.
ASPIRA of Florida has a dedicated staff of individuals who have been with the organization for more than 20 years. Some of our staff are former ASPIRANTES! As you can see, our staff also likes to show off its talents as several entertained us during our 2016-2017 staff orientation.
It is important that ASPIRA have a staff of people who believe in the mission and it is with great pride that ASPIRA has no shortage of talented, hard working and compassionate individuals.
ASPIRA Commitment to Success Program
This program serves a population of 45 minority youth who are at-risk of dropping out of school and exhibiting violent behaviors and engage them in dropout/crime prevention activities and alternative positive measures. Our aim is to reestablish participants in their communities as leaders and examples of overcoming life difficulties.
ASPIRA Afterschool Programming - Arts DECO
Arts DECO offers an assortment of extracurricular activities to its students for free, such as flag football, soccer, cheerleading, dance, chess, etiquette program, writing club, movie production club, chess and debate team.

ASPIRA R.A.M. offers an assortment of extracurricular activities to its students for free, such as flag football, cheerleading, state ranked chess club, and writing club..
Tthe CHISPA Program is a partnership between ASPIRA LCPA and The Frost Museum of Science. This program is vital to help increase the engagement of Hispanic children and their families with science and local science resources.
ASPIRA Youth Sanctuary Program
The program strengthens and expands the traditional ASPIRA Stay-in-School Porgram and offers safe havens for at-risk youth throughout the county by providing youth leadership development activities.
