ASC's mission is to affect cultural growth and change in South Florida through world-class theatrical productions that aim to innovate, enlighten, and bridge cultural gaps across diverse local communities, making the performing arts accessible to everyone.
For almost 30 years, ASC, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has been an award-winning professional theatre company that stages provocative, world-class theater productions. ASC has continuously presented a mix of contemporary plays, original new works, and classic musical theatre repertoire. As part of our mission to educate the next generation of theatre artists and patrons, we continually debut emerging, cutting-edge artists in the worlds of theatre, music, dance, and comedy. ASC now houses a professional theatre company, a professional-level conservatory for young, aspiring performers, and a theatre program catering to the special needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, the Inclusion Theatre Project.

Inclusion Theatre Program (I.T.P.)
The Inclusion Theatre Program (ITP) at Area Stage Company is a first-of-its kind performing arts-based program for students with disabilities. Through group classes, performance opportunities, and community outreach activities, ITP actors hone valuable social, language, and developmental skills.
Our coaches also travel to local partner schools to provide on-site training to students who might otherwise not have access to arts education.
Area Stage also aims to change the public perception of individuals with developmental disabilities for the better through student outreach performances at community events, inspiring change and fostering understanding through the arts.
