One to One, iPad Learning Program - The first Archdiocese of Miami school to fully implement the individualized learning program.
"There's A School for That!" -- Now an engineering senior at the University of Miami, Michael strove to achieve his goals while encouraged by classmates and teachers. He was the ACND Class of 2011 Salutatorian graduating with a 5.09 GPA and recipient of the Presidential Academic Excellence Award among other awards.
Respect and Honoring of Differences - Actively acknowledge that all students learn differently and at different paces and enable them to develop and work with their own unique learning rhythm.
Relational Education - Students move to the next topic in all subject areas only when they are able to 'relate' everything they have learned to their daily lives. The Relational method increases knowledge retention and chances for academic success.
Technology is a tool that allows students to amplify his/her learning experience. All students and Educators have access to an iPad which allows them to search for information and be connected with their own learning process. FRE uses a technology platform called Qino that is derived from "kinetics," the work needed to accelerate an object and set it into motion. Educators and parents can logon at any time and review real time progress and results.
The Qino Platform is held in the cloud enabling access via any device with Internet connection. A student's assessments, Learning Plans, work, and indicators are all kept in the system. The lines of communication are transparent and the work that students are being asked to accomplish is clearly outlined for them and their parents. This real-time picture creates a level of responsibility and accountability for students, parents and faculty.
Through the One to One program, our Educators guide our students towards total autonomy allowing them to learn and grasp the world through itself, using his/her own skills.
Although time is variable, quality of a student's learning process is expected to improve consistently so that he/she can reach excellence in every unit of study they learn.

The program places the student at the center of his/her education, we strive to embrace the best educational models of the past, infuse new learning habits, take advantage of technological resources, and create a new model that continues to evolve and is never stagnant.
This new model does not mean a student is learning on his/her own. Through a caring and nurturing learning environment, we guide each student towards learning autonomy with the objective of developing 21st Century thinkers and doers.
