With 29 years of history to draw upon, the program is certainly amongst the most decorated in the region in terms of alumni. Many alumni return to Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre to perform on the award-winning company’s Mainstage such as Sarah Crane, Robbie Smith, Drew Arisco and Karl Skyler Urban who all flew home to Miami this past winter for West Side Story. Dominique Scott (National Tour: Rock of Ages) starred in our critically acclaimed production of Million Dollar Quartet. Angelina Carballo understudied in Ruthless! The Musical before making her Broadway tour debut in Annie at the age of nine.
Alumna Aimee Carrero, who started out in our summer camp program, is now the voice of Disney's new Latina princess Elena of Avalor. Former student Josie Loren is best known for her starring role in the ABC Family series Make It or Break It. After writing for the series Devious Maids, Alumna Charise Castro Smith was given the go-ahead by ABC to co-executive produce the pilot for her original series, The Death of Eva Sofia Valdez.
